Rythm Desk & Chair
The Rhythm Collection was inspired by the modern designs
of the past, 1950-1960 but updated in scale and character for today's consumers.
This revival of the contemporary/modern style was influenced by architects and
designers from the US and Scandinavia. Design charcteristics of the Rhythm
Collection includes shaped, arched and bowed surfaces, figured and quartered
walnut veneers and elliptical ornamentation used as a decorative design accent
to the collection. Bedroom, Dining Room and Living Room pieces are offered.
Fancy faced figured walnut are used on tops of cases in a sunburst pattern while
the dining table top shows a four-piece book matched pattern. Quartered walnut
is done as a border and edge band wrap on tops. The finish is a clear medium
brown walnut stain with light burnishing that allows the walnut veneer to
express itself in a dramatic display. The elliptical ornaments are prestained to
show a dominant accent in the finish.
